Jacqueline Fairbairn – Senior TEL Advisor

Meet the team > Jacqueline Fairbairn – Senior TEL Advisor

Photograph of Jacquie

My Senior TEL responsibilities are focused on liaison with university Schools and departments to strategically support, develop and promote the use of Technology Enhanced Learning, facilitating the sharing of good TEL practice across disciplines and contributing to / implementing University strategy.

I joined the University in 2017 as a TEL Advisor, assisting individual staff in developing their use of TEL tools. Prior to this, I worked in FE colleges and schools, developing cross-curriculum training programmes alongside lecturing responsibilities in digital media. I contributed to a range of teacher development processes, Ofsted consultations and in-house teacher-mentoring schemes with partnering college groups. My interest in learning technologies stems from my graphic design degree; I worked for an educational app provider during and after my course, which led to many interesting collaborations with schools and colleges!
