Ollie Taplin

Meet the team > Ollie Taplin

Working with the TEL team since 2022, my role is to provide support for academic and administrative staff, as well as students, in their use of our online learning platforms, including Blackboard, Turnitin, and YuJa. I also actively seek opportunities to develop others, designing and delivering training sessions to administrative staff on their use of these platforms.

With a background in Programme Administration, I have developed a strong interest in strengthening the connection between TEL and the Support Centres. My focus has been on improving administrative workflows and enhancing the technical skills and understanding of our online learning platforms among Support Centre staff.

Currently, I am working closely with colleagues in the Support Centre on the Digital Champions project. This initiative brings together a group of Support Centre staff to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional development. By equipping this group with enhanced technical skills and a deeper understanding of our online learning platforms, the project aims to create a network of champions who can provide peer support, promote best practices, and help bridge the gap between technical and administrative teams.
