You may wish to create your marking rubric before students have submitted.<\/p>\n

Create an Assignment<\/h2>\n

When creating the Assignment under Create Your Rubric<\/strong> check the box Before student submission.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Gradescope<\/p>\n

Set the Outline<\/h2>\n

Once the Create Assignment button is clicked the Assignment Outline page will open.<\/p>\n

Set the Outline as usual.<\/p>\n

\"Set<\/p>\n

Create a Rubric<\/h2>\n

When you have saved your outline the Create Rubric page will open.<\/p>\n

\"Create<\/p>\n

Now you can create your Rubric<\/a>.\u00a0 Alternatively you can come back to this page at a later time to create the Rubric, without any submissions.<\/p>\n

The option to Create Rubric will be available from the left-hand side menu when you click on the Assignment from the dashboard.<\/p>\n

\"Manage<\/p>\n

If appropriate, you can reuse the Rubric from one question on other questions – in the same assignment, or in any\u00a0assignment in any course where you are the Instructor.<\/p>\n

Rubric Permissions<\/h3>\n

If you wish to set editing permissions for the rubric you can do this in the assignment settings.<\/p>\n
