However, you may want to take advantage of Turnitin&#8217;s grading tools to provide feedback via the University\u2019s virtual learning environment (VLE). Similarly, you may wish to provide feedback online when students make in-class presentations, even though no submission has been made to Blackboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is possible to provide feedback even if no digital submission has been made. This applies to both Turnitin Assignments (covered in this guide) and Blackboard Assignments (see separate guide).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I do this?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a Turnitin assignment as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark and\/or give feedback on students\u2019 work, go to the Turnitin assignment inbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students with no submission are denoted by a grey pencil icon in the &#8216;Grade&#8217; column.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1072\" height=\"409\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/08\/Turnitin-mark-with-no-submission.jpg\" alt=\"View of the Turnitin inbox.
