You can create multiple sections referred to as blocks within your Document. The print button<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"150\" height=\"85\" class=\"wp-image-26013\" style=\"width: 80px\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/10\/2025-04-05_13-29-09.png\" alt=\"screenshot of print button. \"> appears on the top right-hand corner for both staff and student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"create\"><a id=\"create\"><\/a>Create a Document<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Go to the point inside a Learning Module, or on the Course Content area, where you would like to add the Document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Hover over the dividing line until a plus sign icon appears click on the plus sign icon to open the Add Content menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: Select <strong>Create<\/strong> from the Add Content menu. The Create Content Panel will open on the right-hand side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong>: Select Document. The New Document page will open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"685\" height=\"503\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/08\/Create-Document.png\" alt=\"Create Menu and adding a document to a course content \narea\" class=\"wp-image-21735\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5<\/strong>: On this page give your New Document a name by overwriting the default title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6<\/strong>: Build your document by <strong>adding blocks<\/strong> using the add content options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available blocks:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Content<\/strong> (opens the text editor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>HTML<\/strong> (opens the HTML editor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge check<\/strong> (opens Question editor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>File upload<\/strong> (opens the file manager to upload files)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Content Collection<\/strong> (opens the Content Collection)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Image<\/strong> (from file or Unsplash stock images)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Divider<\/strong> (creates a line divide between sections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Convert a file<\/strong>. Once selected, the system converts the file into the Document format. However you will need to use the HTML editor in Ultra to add the embed code for external media, such as Box of Broadcasts, or to embed a Twitter feed. This is not assessed, can be done multiple times, and gives instant feedback for students. class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"image\">Add Image<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When using add Image you can upload a relevant image you have in your own files, or find one from the Unsplash library. has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>When you have chosen edited and added alternative text to your picture, it will insert in the document. You can resize the image and move around to be contextual with text and files. This helps students easily identify related and unrelated materials and can improve the structure and readability of their learning materials. Hover over the block you wish to move until the Move Paragraph\/Move File icon appears. Click on this icon to pick up the section and move it.
