Student enrolments can also be exported\/imported, but this requires the same students to be enrolled in both courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#export\">Export a Group Set<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#import\">Import a Group Set and membership<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: All groups are in Group Sets in Ultra. A Group Set can contain one or more groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"export\"><b><a id=\"export\"><\/a><\/b>Export Group Set<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Exporting a group allows you to save a copy of the Group Set (names, descriptions and number of groups) and the membership of those groups as an excel spreadsheet. Groups can be imported into other Blackboard courses and used as a new set of groups for enrolling students. You can also import both groups and group memberships if the same students are enrolled in both courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Export options are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Groups sets only &#8211; use this to import groups to other Blackboard courses as fresh groups to assign destination course students to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members only &#8211; use this to import group members into a group set (the destination course will need same students enrolled).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both options can be selected together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to the <strong>Groups <\/strong>page and click the three-dot menu for the group that you want to export. You will need to extract the files before you can use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"import\"><a id=\"import\"><\/a>Import a Group Set and Membership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Import Group<\/strong> function allows you to import groups that have been exported from another course. You can also download template csv files for Group Sets and group memberships, populate them with your group information in Excel, and then import them into Blackboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Import the Group Set<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Import the Group Members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Import the Group Set<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to the Groups page and click <strong>New group set<\/strong>.
