It is the instructors responsibility to create the test and ensure that it appears correctly to students. Use the plus content menu and select <strong>Add local File<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The file will appear on the test and can be opened within the test screen. Use the Edit option to check that the question settings are correct for this test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"break\">Add a Page Break <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is possible to add a page break in your test to separate different sections of the Test such as MCQ section and Essay questions section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the place where you would like to add the page break.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the purple plus sign.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Add Page Break<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"926\" height=\"661\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/09\/Tests-116.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/09\/Tests-116.png 926w, https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/09\/Tests-116-768x548.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 926px) 100vw, 926px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NB*<\/strong> Please let students know when there are more than one pages in a test so they know to click the &#8220;next page&#8221; button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the test settings (presentation options section) it is possible to randomise pages, with the option to keep the first page the same for all students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"allow\">Allow students to add content at end of assessment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have added some content to your test you will be able to toggle the &#8220;Allow students to add content at end of assessment&#8221; on and off. The output can be tailored by selecting specific course content or adding a description prompt. The generated test questions are editable, and will only be added to your course if you choose to \u2018Save\u2019 it.
