With this tool:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>one student in each group submits work on behalf of the whole group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can assign marks and feedback for the group as a whole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Anonymous Marking <strong>is not currently possible<\/strong> with Blackboard Group Assignments. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is <strong>not possible<\/strong> to bulk download all Group submissions in one action, however, you can download each group individually.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Defining groups to submit to an assignment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When setting up an Blackboard Assignment, towards the bottom of the <strong>Settings<\/strong> panel there is an option to <strong>Assign to groups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/11\/Assign-to-Groups.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"370\" height=\"361\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/11\/Assign-to-Groups.jpg\" alt=\"Screenshot of the Assign to Groups option\" class=\"wp-image-17852\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/11\/Assign-to-Groups.jpg 370w, https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/11\/Assign-to-Groups-150x146.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/11\/Assign-to-Groups-366x357.jpg 366w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click here to open a new page where you can either<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>select groups which already exist in the course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or create new groups and select the members of each group.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 1: Select groups already in your course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the<strong> Group students<\/strong> drop-down list, under <strong>Reuse groups<\/strong> select the group set you wish to assign to the assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If no groups sets are listed, exit the assignment set up page and go to the Groups tab to create a group set. They cannot be reused elsewhere in the course, and they do not show up when you go to the&nbsp;<strong>Groups<\/strong> tab at the top of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"self\">Self-enrol<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to set up a self-enrol group for your assessment to only way is to <strong>go to the Group tab <\/strong>and create the group there, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/creating-groups\/\">guide Creating Groups<\/a>.
