{"id":1786,"date":"2021-08-09T08:00:02","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T08:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support-test-2\/?p=1786"},"modified":"2024-09-03T13:29:11","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T13:29:11","slug":"academic-liaison-librarian-role","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/academic-liaison-librarian-role\/","title":{"rendered":"Using the Academic Liaison Librarian and Careers Consultant roles in Blackboard"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Introduction<\/h2>\n<p>Academic Liaison Librarians and Careers Consultants are assigned admin privileges in Blackboard, providing you with the ability to self-enrol on courses within the School or Department with which you work.<\/p>\n<p>The privileges have been granted in order that you can<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>view and, if necessary, create course content<\/li>\n<li>advise module staff on copyright compliance in relation to content uploaded to Blackboard<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert\">add links to online Reading Lists, if assistance is needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once enrolled on a course, you have Instructor privileges, but clearly you should limit your activity within the Blackboard course to Library-related matters, and should not make changes to a course without having discussed this with the Module Convenor or other member of the teaching team.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessing courses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once assigned the role, you will see the Admin option on the Blackboard Menu.
