They can be used in conjunction with Folders and Ultra Documents. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/ultra-learning-modules-folders\/\">guide Content Containers in Blackboard Learn Ultra<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course template for modules incorporates a number of Learning Modules, you are unlikely to need to add additional Learning Modules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Learning Modules can have an image uploaded to enhance their appearance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Learning Module can contain multiple Folders, but a Folder cannot contain a Learning Module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forward and back arrows in the student view allow students to move from item to item within a Learning Module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The &#8216;Force Sequence&#8217; option is available for Learning Modules only. It dictates that students complete the items in order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the student view<strong> Progress Tracking <\/strong>on Learning Modules will show a progress bar showing their progression through the materials <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"343\" height=\"52\" class=\"wp-image-25552\" style=\"width: 300px\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2023\/12\/2025-02-13_10-39-32.png\" alt=\"screenshot of progress bar \"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a Learning Module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 1: Go to the point on the Course Content area, where you would like to add the Learning Module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2: Hover over the dividing line until a plus sign icon appears, click on the plus sign icon to open the Add Content menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 3: Select <strong>Create<\/strong> from the Add Content menu. The Create Content Panel will open on the right-hand side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 4: Select Learning Module. Complete all the sections on the Create Learning Module panel and Save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Please note: <strong>If <\/strong>Learning Modules are not an option in the Create menu, you may be in a Learning Module or Folder.
