The Ultra Gradebook allows multiple access points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#markableitems\">List view<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#marks\">Grid view<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#overview\">To Do<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#hidden\">Hidden Items <\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#students\">Students<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"markableitems\">List view<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The List view shows all assessments on the course in rows. The Needs Marking block gives you an overview of all outstanding assignments which need marking. This helps indicate any new student work or last bits to of marking to be completed. The Mark Now buttons allow you quick access to assignments which need marking. For Turnitin Assignments the whole inbox opens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2026\/08\/image-26.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of Gradebook To do panel\" class=\"wp-image-29100\" width=\"343\" height=\"481\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: If you only need to mark a sub-set of submitted work in a Blackboard Assignment, you will need to use the &#8216;Marks&#8217; tab to <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/filtering-the-gradebook\/\">Filter<\/a> the submissions by <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/key-topic-ultra-groups\/\">Group<\/a>. You can filter by Group inside the Turnitin Assignment Inbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hidden\">Hidden Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is possible to hide items from instructors (all staff roles) in the Gradebook via the settings panel in the Item Management screen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If items are hidden a notice will appear in the information bar in the Gradebook, click on the link to access the Item Management screen to see which assessments are hidden<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1444\" height=\"169\" it is possible to toggle each column between Visible and Hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"students\">Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From Grid view you can click on any student&#8217;s name to see their course details, marks, progress on course and Activity log. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can access a <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/ultra-progress-tracking\/\">students progress <\/a>in the course from the top menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"
