They will be posted by the programme admin team at the date and time when marks are ready to be returned to students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#gradebook\">Post marks in the Gradebook<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#list\">Post marks in the submission tab<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#marking\">Post marks while marking<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#turnitin\">Turnitin and Post Marks<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do this for the whole assignment in the Gradebook Markable Items or Marks view from the overview level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"gradebook\">Post marks in Gradebook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Markable Items View<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From the Gradebook <strong>Markable Items view<\/strong> the Post Mark(s) buttons will be available once there are marks to post.  For summative work programme administrators will post the marks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>The number of papers submitted will be listed in the item column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Marked in the marking status column means that all the submitted papers have been marked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the status column still indicates that there are papers to be marked, it is still possible to post any marks already given.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1096\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/04\/Post-marks2.jpg\" alt=\"Showing the gradecentre markable items. Your <strong>administrator will do this<\/strong> after checking all submissions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"turnitin\">Turnitin and Post Marks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For Turnitin the feedback release date automatically posts the marks.  From this point the students will be able to view their marks and feedback via the Gradebook or the Turnitin submission point.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong> that for any marking taking place are after the Feedback Release Date the marks and feedback will be immediately visible to students. Hiding the submission point will hide the assessment in the Gradebook and vice versa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However before the feedback release date has been reached you<strong> can post individual marks<\/strong>. \u00a0Please be aware that<strong> <\/strong>students will <strong>only see their mark<\/strong>. \u00a0Feedback is not available (ever) until the feedback release date has been reached, if the date is pushed into the future the feedback will return to being hidden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is an assessment where the feedback is not a factor then it would be possible to put the feedback release date into the future and use the posting function to control who sees their marks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To allow students to view their marks and feedback for Blackboard internal assessment tools such as, Assignments, Discussions, Journals and manually marked Tests, Programme Administrators need to Post Marks in the Gradebook, marking screen or the assessment submission tab.
