do not tick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prohibit new attempts after due date: Yes &#8211; do tick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attempts allowed: unlimited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anonymous marking &#8211; Hide student names: Yes by default, but this may not be practical for some assessments e.g. Group assignments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Post assessment marks automatically: leave unticked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visibility: Release Conditions <strong>will have been applied by the Integration<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Access from: due date and time as set in RISIS, minus 4 calendar weeks<br>This date can be brought forward if appropriate. <br>By default, students will see the assignment listed in the Assessment content area, but will not be able to open it before the &#8216;Show on&#8217; date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access until: leave unticked<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marking workflow<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Markers and administrators can access submitted work via the Gradebook, or by going directly to the Blackboard assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When all work has been marked (after 15 days working days) the Programme Administrator will Post marks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>This removes anonymity \u2013 all student names will now be visible, including for any submissions which have not yet been marked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marks and feedback become visible to students, via the Gradebook or directly from the Blackboard assignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If any submissions have not yet been marked, these can still be marked without being visible to the student \u2013 these marks will need to be Posted separately when ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"posttime\">Post-deadline submission point<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Due date: official due date and time + 1 minute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prohibit late submissions: No &#8211; These marks will need to be Posted separately when ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hide\">Hiding \/ showing Blackboard assignments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Setting the assignment visibility to \u2018Hidden\u2019 also hides the corresponding Gradebook column. For coursework this should only be necessary in exceptional circumstances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no need to hide the on-time assignment at the due date \u2013 just prohibit new attempts.<br>This means students who have submitted can always see their submission \u2013 this should prevent confusion, and unnecessary submissions to the post-deadline assignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assignments created by the EMA integration will be set to become visible 4 weeks before the due date. By default these will have the \u2018Show\u2019 option ticked, and <strong>Administrators should not change that setting<\/strong>.<br><em>Show = All course members can see this item in the content list, but they can&#8217;t open it until all release conditions are met<\/em><br>i.e. students see that the assignment exists, but cannot access it until the set date.<br>This will apply also to the post-deadline assignment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"release\">Releasing marks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You can Post marks for \n<ul>\n<li>all marked work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>selected students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EMA Integration will create Blackboard assignments in the \u2018Assessment\u2019 learning module of the course.Programme Administrators will need to move these into the correct Assignment folder e.g. Assessment &gt; Assignment 1.
