These assignments always have the prefix [IC] in their name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Move the assignment to the correct folder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When the EMA Integration creates Blackboard assignments in a course it places them in the &#8216;Assessment&#8217; learning module.<br>The assignments should be moved into the relevant folder.<br>To do this<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>expand the Assignment folder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>drag the Blackboard assignment into this folder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1147\" height=\"544\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/07\/Move-Blackboard-assignment.png\" alt=\"Moving an IC assignment into the correct folder\" class=\"wp-image-21800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/07\/Move-Blackboard-assignment.png 1147w, https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/07\/Move-Blackboard-assignment-768x364.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1147px) 100vw, 1147px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Provide Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the &#8216;Instructions&#8217; field to provide specific instructions for this assessment and\/or more general guidance &#8211; such as a a link to our guide on submitting to a Blackboard assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check \/ Edit the assignment settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go into the editing assignment screen (click on the 3 dots, then choose Edit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"765\" height=\"213\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/07\/Edit-Bb-assignment.jpg\" alt=\"Screenshot of how to access the editing screen\" class=\"wp-image-21801\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now apply the appropriate settings for your assignment. The list below shows the settings which you are most likely to want to apply for a summative assignment.<br>For more detail on all the options available, please see or guide on <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/ultra-assignment-settings\/\">Assignment Settings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prohibit new attempts after the due date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If your School has on-time and post-deadline submission points, tick this option for the on-time assignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not tick this option if your School has a single submission point for all students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collect submissions offline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicable only to assessments where students will be presenting in class, or submitting a physical object, and are not required to make any kind of electronic submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attempts allowed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The default is a single attempt. We recommend that you select \u2018Unlimited\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anonymous Marking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tick the box to hide student names from markers and programme administrators. <br>This option is not available for Group Assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use marking rubric<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Select a rubric, if required. Rubrics can be copied from Blackboard Learn original to Ultra, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/ultra-copying-blackboard-rubrics\/\">guide Copying Blackboard Rubrics<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assigned Groups<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click here if this is a Group assignment. It is recommended that groups are set up before assigning groups in the assignment.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have set up the groups (see our guide <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/ultra-create-a-group-assignment\/\">Create a Group Assignment<\/a>) use Reuse Groups under the <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Originality Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click &#8216;Enable Turnitin&#8217; if you wish submissions to generate a Turnitin Similarity Report.<br>See <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/turnitin-similarity-reports-in-blackboard-assignments\/\">Turnitin Similarity Reports in Blackboard Assignments<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Release Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The EMA Integration sets Blackboard assignments to become visible to students 4 weeks before the due date.
