These folders will be used for the exams on the course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please make the Important Exam Information ((a) on image) visible to students before the exam period begins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online exams are set up, by <strong>Programme Administrators<\/strong>, within the Ultra course template by following the workflow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>There is one &#8220;Online Exam [title]&#8221; folder per course, create additional folders is there is more than one exam. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the exam name to the Online Exam folder (replacing the text [title])&nbsp;((b) on image)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the Release Conditions to the folder (9am\/2pm to exam end time)&nbsp;((c) on image)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust\/add folder description to include exam date, start time and end time.&nbsp;Draw attention to fixed start\/finish exams. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up submission point, or series of submission points if one is required per question, inside the folder for that specific exam. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure the submission point(s) are Visible to Students (they will be hidden inside the folder). \n<ul>\n<li>For Turnitin ensure the start date is in the past.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Blackboard Tools ensure the submission point is manually changed to Visible to Students&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>After the exam <\/strong>has passed make all the submissions point <strong>Hidden from Students<\/strong>. This can be done in the course content or Gradebook.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1094\" height=\"620\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/11\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24964\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/11\/image-4.png 1094w, https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2024\/11\/image-4-768x435.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1094px) 100vw, 1094px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-ast-global-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-ast-global-color-5-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"practice\">Online Exams Practice courses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice courses will be created in good time before the exam period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students sitting exams have access to an Online Exams Practice course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Practice course is intended to give students the opportunity to test downloading and uploading documents, understand what instructions they will see on exam papers, as well as to identify and resolve any technical issues ahead of the exam period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All types of submission points are available, and this will allow the students to test the different exam types Schools will have set.
