{"id":25056,"date":"2024-12-05T10:59:19","date_gmt":"2024-12-05T10:59:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/?p=25056"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:28:33","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:28:33","slug":"how-to-copy-or-import-padlets-from-other-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/TEL-Support-Staff\/how-to-copy-or-import-padlets-from-other-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"How to copy or import padlets from other accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>If you wish to retain author names (attached to posts) when copying or importing padlets, then you must ensure the post authors are&nbsp;members of the institutional Padlet license before using the import function.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you have used a different email<\/strong> <strong>address<\/strong> for your paid (or freemium) Padlet account, compared to your university Padlet account, then you can either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Option 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.help\/l\/en\/article\/wcrlb4xmrh-how-to-contact-the-support-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Contact Padlet Customer Support<\/a>\u00a0to request the padlets are transferred into your university account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Option 2: Make a record of the padlet links, logout of your paid (or freemium) account, login to your university account and visit the links you have stored. Once visited (i.e. the padlets are open) you can use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.help\/l\/en\/article\/h26fnou0dl-remake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Remake<\/a>\u00a0button to make a copy of each padlet (these copies will populate in your university account).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you used the same email address <\/strong>for your paid (or freemium) account and university account, you can either: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Option 1: Copy your padlets&nbsp;<em>(instead of transferring them)<\/em>, by using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.help\/l\/en\/article\/h26fnou0dl-remake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Remake<\/a>&nbsp;button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Option 2: <a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.help\/l\/en\/article\/sc0nse96r7-transfer-padlets#individual_team_classroom_and_padlet_for_schools_accounts_at_padlet_com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Transfer<\/a> (import) your padlets:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the steps to transfer (import) padlets between accounts registered with the same email address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to padlet.com, <a href=\"https:\/\/padlet.help\/l\/en\/article\/vq53k4nnrd-navigate-between-multiple-padlet-accounts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">toggle<\/a> to your paid (or freemium) account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your&nbsp;<strong>Made by Me<\/strong>&nbsp;folder<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/files.helpdocs.io\/xxifo1al2f\/articles\/179fiy69db\/1731792191852\/xnapper-2024-11-16-16-29-48.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"600\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3.Click the vertical three-dot ellipsis button (<strong>&#8230;<\/strong>) in the bottom corner of the padlet&#8217;s thumbnail and choose&nbsp;<strong>Transfer padlet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/files.helpdocs.io\/xxifo1al2f\/articles\/179fiy69db\/1731792520159\/xnapper-2024-11-16-16-32-13.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"821\" height=\"501\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
