Math equations and formulas can be inserted into Blackboard content and assessment tools using either Math Editor or by directly typing LaTex into content editor. The feature is available for both Staff and Students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On University of Reading Blackboard, MathJax has been enabled to render LaTex code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Type LaTex directly into Content Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blackboard content editor supports $$ delimiters, and \\(\u2026\\), \\[\u2026\\] delimiters for inline rendering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$$x = \\frac {-b \\pm \\sqrt {b^2 – 4ac}}{2a}$$<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To use Math Editor, click “+” icon in the content editor toolbar, then click “f(x) Math” icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
