The Voice Comment feature in Turnitin Feedback Studio allows you to record audio feedback up to 3 minutes in length. This is a simple one-take audio recording tool. To record audio, you will need a microphone connected to your computer.<\/p>\n

Be aware:<\/strong> There is no captions or transcript provided with the audio comment. This limits the use of this feature for accessibility.<\/p>\n

Recommendation:<\/strong> Do not rely solely on audio comments to provide feedback and include a summary of any key points in the Text Comment box. This feature is probably unsuitable in anonymous assignments because you won’t be able to tell if a student can use audio feedback or if they require an adjustment.<\/p>\n

  1. Click on the Feedback Summary<\/strong> button in the blue instructor feedback toolbar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. The Voice Comment tool is located at the top of the panel.\"\"<\/li>\n
  3. Click the Record<\/strong> button in the Voice Comments box to begin recording.\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. In some browsers, an Adobe Flash Player Settings box will appear the first time you use the feature. You need to click on \u2018Activate Adobe Flash\u2019 to enable this feature.
    \nAnd some browsers will ask for permission to use your microphone. Allow this when prompted.\"click\"click
    \n<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. The Voice Comment box begins Recording and the record button turns into a Pause<\/strong> button and you can see the length of your recording in the top right.\"\"<\/li>\n
  6. Record your voice. You can use the Pause<\/strong> button to temporarily halt and Resume<\/strong> recording.<\/li>\n
  7. Click the blue square to Stop<\/strong> recording.

  8. At this stage you can listen to your voice comment by pressing the blue triangle Play<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  9. Click the Save Recording<\/strong> button to upload the recording to the paper.<\/li>\n
  10. Click Discard<\/strong> voice comment bin icon, to delete the recording and start again.\"image<\/li>\n
