DESCRIPTION:Book your place here.\nThis session is aimed at anybody involved in teaching at the university. The first part of this session will focus on what it means to be ‘literate’ in an academic context and why many students – particularly students from international or non-traditional backgrounds – initially struggle with understanding and mastering the literacy expectations of their discipline and degree programme. In the second part of the session\, we will explore practical approaches to scaffolding and accelerating students’ academic literacy development. This session aligns with A1\, A2\, K2\, K3\, V1 and V2 of the UKPSF.
