This British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited course delivers the training to qualify as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The role of a PWP is to assess for common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety disorders and deliver low-intensity interventions based on cognitive behavioural therapy. This may consist of multiple formats such as one-to-one, group and online interventions.<\/p>\n

The programme features a variety of teaching methods including role-plays, skills practice and clinical work carried in an IAPT setting.<\/p>\n

You will receive 80 clinical hours experience with patients and receive more than 40 hours of supervision.<\/p>\n

How to Apply<\/i><\/i><\/div>\r\n

The Charlie Waller Institute currently offers two intakes per year in April and September. However, as to how many places are available per cohort is dependent on NHS service funding.<\/p>\n

Potential candidates must apply through the job advertisement on NHS jobs. The University of Reading will review the application and a member of our educator team will be present on the interview panel.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\n

The training programme is fully funded by the NHS and trainees will receive a salary equivalent to a full-time NHS band 4 over the year.<\/p>\n
