This course follows the National Curriculum for Supervisor training (Children and Young People\u2019s Mental Health setting) and provides the training needed to qualify as a supervisor, to trainee and qualified CWPs and EMHPs and\/or trainee and qualified CBT and therapists.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Supervisors provide clinical supervision in Children and Young People\u2019s Mental Health settings (CYP MH) to trainees and practitioners working with low- and high-intensity interventions for common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety disorders.<\/p>\n

Employment is generally by the NHS for the duration of training, plus potentially further employment post-qualification.<\/p>\n

You will develop your skills with a mixture of role-play and skills practice teaching, as well as clinical supervision work undertaken in the CYP MH setting.<\/p>\n

What Can I Expect from the Course?<\/h2>\n

The course runs over the course of one calendar year, and consists of roughly 10 taught University days, 10 University supervision of supervision days, and 8 study days, alongside a placement\/working in a CYP MH service.<\/p>\n
