The Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment provides an opportunity for practitioners to augment their knowledge and skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). The certificate can also be used as a springboard for further study in CBT, working towards becoming an accredited practitioner with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Please note that the Certificate is a non-clinical route and does not<\/strong> enable trainees to work as a PWP or CBT practitioner (or equivalent). However, it does offer the chance to top-up skills through exposure to the latest interventions and completion of the course can contribute towards the training hours required for individual accreditation by the BABCP.<\/span><\/p>\n

You will develop your knowledge and skills through attendance at teaching sessions, which are then evaluated by written assessments. Flexibility in the choice of sessions allows students to tailor their course experience to their own interests and practical needs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What can I expect from the course?<\/h2>\n

The course runs over the course of one calendar year, and consists of 14 taught University days chosen by you.<\/p>\n

The course consists of 3 compulsory modules:<\/p>\n
