The initial part of the day will focus on increasing participant’s knowledge and understanding of mental health in the context of autism, using anxiety and suicide as exemplars to consider recent advances in research. In the second half we will consider how to work with autistic people to devise appropriate and valid tools to identify mental health conditions, to ensure that we avoid diagnostic overshadowing and ask the right questions in the right ways. We will end by exploring some recent therapeutic advances in the treatment of anxiety and suicidality in the context of autism and some evidence based, practical recommendations for how clinical services can be adapted to meet the needs of autistic people.

Book Here
More Information

This workshop will run from 9:30 until 4.30 pm, with a 45- minute break for lunch, at a cost of £130.

Special Offer : with every purchase of a face-to-face workshop, we are offering an online workshop (subject to availability) at a reduced price of £30.

Group bookings of 4 workshops or more will receive a 10% discount (£117.00 per session), and 10 workshops or more will receive a 15% discount (£110.50 per session)*.

University of Reading Students (current and graduate) will receive a 20% discount upon verification of a valid student number.
