October is Black History Month – a time to celebrate the history, achievements and contributions of Black people across our communities. This year’s theme, Reclaiming Narratives, marks a significant shift towards recognising and correcting the narrative of Black history and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

This Black History Month, Dr Sam Agbamu<\/a>, of Reading\u2019s Classics Department, will explore the Roman roots of the concept of diversity.<\/p>\n

SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD\u2019S ANNUAL WEAR RED DAY<\/strong>
Friday 18 October<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Support the thousands who fight racism by wearing red!<\/p>\n

2024 is the 10th<\/sup> Anniversary of Wear Red Day. A landmark that the charity, Show Racism the Red Card<\/a> are incredibly proud of. Their first celebration in 2014 saw 7,000 people registering to take part. In 2023, that figure exploded to become 615,000 participants celebrating.\u00a0<\/p>\n
