Funded by alumni for alumni, the Scholarship is made possible thanks to the generosity of University of Reading donors who are passionate about supporting and empowering the next generation of learners.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What\u2019s on offer<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>No matter your area of study or whether you\u2019re a UK or an international student, if you\u2019ve previously studied at Reading, this Scholarship could be a transformative opportunity for you.<\/p>\n<p>The Scholarship is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>worth \u00a33000<\/li>\n<li>open to all University of Reading students who have completed or are about to finish an undergraduate programme<\/li>\n<li>designed to help contribute towards your living expenses and other study essentials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A total of\u00a0<strong>10 Scholarships\u00a0<\/strong>are available for September 2025 entry. Additionally, all Reading graduates can benefit from a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/essentials\/money_matters\/funding\/alumni-discount?bbeml=tp-8w5mn3z9eE2-rOc4FL2hwg.jcHbzW5C-FEWyajKd0mitCQ.rnQY9LGCJqEGGOggqpmVYRQ.lmC98eisA0Euchbh7RmcmYg\">20% reduction on their annual tuition fees<\/a>, subject to eligibility criteria, which can be combined with the scholarship.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Erin\u2019s story<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>2024 recipient of the Alumni Master\u2019s Scholarship, Erin Alesbury, joined the University four years ago when she started her undergraduate degree in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/history\/\">history<\/a>. \u201cI loved the campus, the history society and department \u2013 I couldn\u2019t imagine going anywhere else to continue my studies,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>Now continuing her love of history through a postgraduate degree thanks to the Scholarship, Erin explained the impact it has had on her. She said: \u201cReceiving this award was a real honour, and really validated that my hard work and passion for my subject was paying off. The recognition has given me even more of a drive to work hard, as I hope to produce my best work yet after improving my skills as a historian. It\u2019s allowed me to create a deeper relationship with members of the History Department and has provided me the opportunity to undertake research projects, visit archives and analyse historical materials.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s made me realise that I belong here and I\u2019m so excited to be granted the opportunity to follow my interests \u2013 who knows, I may even continue on to do a PhD next!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Her message to those who made this possible is one of gratitude: \u201cI just want to say a big thank you to everyone that contributes to making this award possible. It is an amazing thing to be offered, and really makes starting your new course special.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Find out more<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Eligible candidates will be invited to apply for the scholarship after submitting their course application and receiving an offer of admission. The closing date for the final round of applications is 23:59 BST on <strong>1 June 2025 for September 2025 entrants and 1 December 2025 for February 2026<\/strong> <strong>entrants<\/strong>.
