Engage in globalisation<\/h1>\n

The curriculum is not limited by the scholarly perspective of one culture or country; rather it is defined by the opportunities it gives students to consider global perspectives on their subject and its application and to develop intercultural competence.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The University of Reading has a strong global presence with five campuses across three continents and a multinational community comprising 19,000 students from 140 countries. Our Global Engagement Strategy is shaped around our\u00a0vision for 2026<\/a>\u00a0to become: \"a vibrant, thriving, sustainable,\u00a0global<\/strong>\u00a0and broad-based institution, responsive to,\u00a0stimulated by and informing changes in the world around us.\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

Preparing our graduates to live in a global society is central to achieving this vision. This is reflected in the University's Curriculum Framework which has 'global engagement and multi-cultural awareness'\u00a0as one of the graduate attributes our programmes seek to engender. These web pages are designed to support the enhancement of programmes in this direction.<\/p>\n
