\n| Location:<\/td>\n | Blandford Lodge 115<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\nResponsibilities<\/h2>\nMy role is to support the development, enhancement and implementation of processes for evaluating teaching and learning initiatives. My work also involves assessing the impact initiatives have on students\u2019 academic experience and the quality of their education. My responsibilities include:<\/p>\n \n- Developing an understanding of practice, in the University and across the sector, in relation to evaluating teaching and learning initiatives and assessing impact.<\/li>\n
- Contributing to the review of the University\u2019s policies and procedures to embed evaluation and assessment of impact within the University\u2019s quality management processes.<\/li>\n
- Gathering evidence of the impact of teaching and learning initiatives and supporting their evaluation.<\/li>\n
- \u00a0Contributing to the University\u2019s preparations for the subject-level Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).<\/li>\n
- Working with colleagues to communicate the impact of teaching and learning activities and initiatives across the institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Background<\/h2>\nAfter graduating from the University of Reading in 2017 I was elected as Education Officer and Director of Reading University Students\u2019 Union (RUSU) for 2017\/18. I was an active member of senior teaching and learning committees, project boards and working groups across the institution and ensured the student voice was at the heart of any proposed change or policy decision. I also worked to complete a manifesto which focused on improving the lived academic experience of students at the University.<\/p>\n Areas of Interest<\/h2>\nIn addition to my work surrounding evaluation and impact I\u2019m particularly interested in:<\/p>\n \n- Student engagement<\/li>\n
