An Introduction to Play Therapy \u2013 Thursday 13th<\/sup> October: 3.45pm \u2013 4.45pm, L10 G03 lab London Road Campus\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Are you a staff member or student with an interest in children\u2019s mental health? Are you a student who likes working with children, but isn\u2019t sure if teaching is for them?\u00a0 Are you just curious as to what Play Therapy actually is?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If the answer, to any of these is yes, then this session will be of interest to you.\u00a0 Led by the IoE\u2019s Dan James (and trainee play therapist), the session will comprise an introductory talk explaining what Play Therapy is and why there is a need for it.\u00a0 We will then move on to do a short experiential activity in the sand tray so that you can experience the power of symbolism and metaphor in play.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
