      Second hand bike sale, bike hire and bike security labelling<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The University runs a small number of bike sale and bike hire events throughout the academic year, in partnership with\u00a0Reading Bicycle Kitchen<\/a> can be useful places to find a used bicycle. Security Services also attend these events to label your bike and provide theft prevention advice.       We have several secure cycle compounds<\/a> dotted around Whiteknights campus. To gain entry to these all you need to do is contact Security Services and ask them to add access to the compounds onto your student campus card. You just need to verify your University of Reading student ID when purchasing tickets using the Reading Buses app or smartcard.           This is not a University specific discount, but everyone aged between 16-25 in the UK, or are over 25 and in full-time study, is eligible for a 16-25 Railcard which gives a 33% discount on all rail travel.           We have partnered with\u00a0GWR<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>to offer a 20% train fare discount for anyone attending one of our Visit Days. These include University Open Days<\/strong>, Visit Days<\/strong>, Graduation days <\/strong>and other specific events<\/strong>. If you are attending a qualifying event, information on how to take advantage of the offer will be included in the general information emails you receive. It can also be combined with a\u00a0Young Persons Railcard<\/a> for even more of a discount!<\/p>\n
