What is Fairtrade?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cChoosing Fairtrade is a simple way to make a difference to the lives of the people who grow the things we love.\u201d www.fairtrade.org.uk\/What-is-Fairtrade\/What-Fairtrade-does<\/a><\/p>\n

Fairtrade is about improving the livelihoods of the farmers and workers who grow the things we love by paying fair prices which reflect the true cost of production; enabling a decent standard of living. Fairtrade also encompasses social justice and sustainability, empowering farmers and workers to improve their living standards, the welfare of their community and our shared environment.<\/p>\n

Do It Fair \/ Brew It Fair<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This year we are talking about tea and asking you to \u2018Brew it Fair\u2019.<\/p>\n

Take our Tea Quiz<\/a> to be in with a chance of winning some Fairtrade goodies. Winner will be chosen at random at the end of Green Festival. See attached for more information and the Tea Quiz Answers.<\/a><\/p>\n

Campus walk<\/b><\/p>\n

Enjoy our<\/span>\u00a0beautiful campus\u00a0anytime of year<\/span>\u00a0by following our campus walk<\/span> with points of interest relating to Fairtrade, trade justice, ethical consumption and sustainability. The walk takes around 35 minutes or longer if you wish to explore the Harris Gardens further so can easily be enjoyed during a lunch break. For those unfamiliar with Whiteknights campus, there is a link to the campus map.<\/a><\/p>\n

Recipe ideas<\/b><\/p>\n

Get together with friends and try<\/span> some of these recipes<\/a> using Fairtrade products. From spicy mains, to delicious, sweet treats, accompanied by mouth watering drinks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
