This new car brings our car club offer to three locations across our campuses.<\/p>\n<p>You can access the car club from as little as 30 minutes for any type of journey, from business to leisure and personal trips.<\/p>\n<h6>Follow the steps below to use the car club:<\/h6>\n<p>Step 1: Become a Member<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.co-wheels.org.uk\/membership-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Set up your account<\/a> to become a member of Co-Wheels. This process is straight forward but requires a verification process that may take up to a week. Once your account is verified, booking vehicles is quick and easy.<\/li>\n<li>Join the University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.co-wheels.org.uk\/corporate\/business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">business account<\/a> to book cars for work and add a personal account for personal bookings with the promo code \u2018UOR25\u2019 for \u00a325 driving credit and no monthly fees.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to verify your details and will then receive a confirmation e-mail. Your Co-Wheels smart card will then be sent to your home address via Royal Mail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step 2: Book a Car<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Book online or download the Co-Wheels app to reserve a car. You can select the vehicle (check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.co-wheels.org.uk\/uor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interactive map<\/a> for locations) and your preferred time and date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step 3: Use it<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once booked, you can pick up your vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Use this <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/sustainability\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2025\/11\/MG4-Guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guide<\/a> to use the electric car at London Road.<\/li>\n<li>For non-electric vehicles in other locations, refer to our previous <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/sustainability\/2025\/02\/26\/have-you-tried-the-co-wheels-car-club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog post<\/a> for guidance, or to the Co-Wheels website;<\/li>\n<li>Once finished, return the car to its\u2019 designated parking bay at London Road. Remember to close the door, put the vehicle on charge and lock the car with your smartcard to power off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For any issues with the vehicle, contact the Co-Wheels <a href=\"https:\/\/www.co-wheels.org.uk\/contact-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">customer service team<\/a>.
