It is a student award, focused on sustainability, that recognises outstanding research and projects that support innovative ideas aligned with his work and broader vision.<\/p>\n<p>Robert\u2019s research made significant contributions to studies on foreign direct investment (FDI), multinational enterprises (MNEs), and technology transfer. His broader vision was centred on empowering low and middle income countries by providing the knowledge and expertise needed for sustainable growth. He championed research that aligned closely with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, such as poverty, hunger, climate change, and ecological conservation.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><u>What is the prize for?<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The prize is awarded to students who demonstrate that they are clearly progressing Robert Pearce\u2019s work and wider vision through their dissertation or final project.<\/p>\n<p>This can encompass any of the following themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>International Business<\/li>\n<li>Global Development<\/li>\n<li>Technological Innovation<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Change<\/li>\n<li>Societal Impact in Low and Middle Income Countries<\/li>\n<li>The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong><u>Who is eligible?<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>This award is <strong>open university wide<\/strong> to all students enrolled in any <strong>BSc\/BA, MSc\/MA or PhD<\/strong> programme of study, at Henley Business School or the University of Reading.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><u>What is the prize?<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The prizes are monetary awards given in the academic year to those who are eligible to graduate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to Two awards of <strong>\u00a3250<\/strong>, for PhD theses, one awarded in Summer and Winter graduation<\/li>\n<li>Up to Two awards of <strong>\u00a3200<\/strong>, for PG thesis\/project given at Winter graduation<\/li>\n<li>Up to Two awards of <strong>\u00a3200<\/strong>, for UG thesis\/project given at Summer graduation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The review committee reserves the right to award less than two awards at their discretion, depending on the quality of the submissions and eligibility.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><u>When is the application deadline?<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The closing date for submittals are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>31st May 2026 <\/strong>(UG) for Summer Graduation<\/li>\n<li><strong>31st October 2026<\/strong> (PG) for Winter Graduation (Application will re-open August 2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PhD students can receive the award at either graduation.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><u>How do I apply?<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Submit your entry by filling in the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk\/s\/reading\/the-professor-robert-d-pearce-prize-application-form-2025-26-du\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>application form<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must submit their final project or dissertation after completing the online application.
