Although the new version of Turnitin is being used for all assessments due after July 31st 2022, staff and students should still be able to access work submitted and marked using the previous version:
- students are still able to access submitted work by going to the Turnitin assignment in the Assessment area of the course
- staff on a course should still be able to access the Inbox for past assignments via Control Panel > Course Tools > Turnitin Assignments.
On some courses you may find that ‘Turnitin Assignments’ does not appear in the Control Panel.
This tool should be available on all courses where the previous version of Turnitin has been used, to facilitate access by markers and administrators to past student submissions.
If the ‘Turnitin Assignments’ link is not present in your course
Go to Control Panel > Customisation.
Select Tool Availability .
You can scroll down the alphabetical list or use CTRL + F to search for ‘Turnitin’.
Select Turnitin Assignment List to be Available in the first column.
‘Turnitin Assignments’ will now be available in the Control Panel.
Even without this link, work can still be submitted to the original Turnitin submission point by staff or students; and markers and admin can access the work through the Grade Centre as before.
Students will have access to their work through My Marks and Feedback or the assignment submission point.
