When recording a Teams meeting, the live transcript will auto-generate, it is not possible to disable. \u00a0 Are students permitted to start a Teams meeting Live Transcript? Students can submit a request to the university Disability Advisory Service regarding their need to make a recording of live interactive sessions online or any other teaching activity. DAS will advise the most appropriate assistive technology for the individual request \/ access requirement, in line with the university Student Recording Policy. Once a request has been approved, a student should notify the School of their requirement to make a live electronic transcription. You should initiate a Teams meeting Live Transcript on behalf of a student\u00a0who has provided a registered access requirement. All Teams meeting participants\u00a0will see a pop-up notification\u00a0when\u00a0the transcription has been started; you should\u00a0verbally inform students\u00a0that: Teams Live Transcript is\u00a0occurring\u00a0for a registered access requirement.\u00a0\u00a0 All audio\u00a0will be recorded\u00a0as text with speaker attribution, if participants choose to\u00a0hide their speaker attributions\u00a0\u00a0the transcript may not be very useful to the student with the access requirement. A transcript will generate in the meeting window, students can hide the\u00a0transcript\u00a0panel if desired\u00a0(students must not press &#8216;Stop Transcript&#8217; as this will cease the Live Transcript recording). A copy\u00a0of the Teams meeting\u00a0Live\u00a0Transcript\u00a0will be available\u00a0for all to download after the meeting,\u00a0students must abide\u00a0by the university policy\u00a0for\u00a0acceptable use of the copy\u00a0(i.e.\u00a0do not share, it is for personal use\u00a0only).\u00a0 If an unauthorised Teams meeting Live\u00a0Transcript is started during\u00a0your\u00a0session, you\u00a0should:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inform the session you are stopping an unauthorised Live Transcript recording, and follow up with the student after the online meeting has ended.\u00a0 Meeting owner can delete Live Transcript if required, however there is no record of who\/how many downloads occurred prior to deletion.\u00a0 &nbsp; Is there any technical guidance for using Teams meeting Live Transcript?
