    Tests: Roles and Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

    Academics are responsible for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>test<\/span><\/span>\u00a0content and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ensuring that tests\u00a0<\/span><\/span>are\u00a0<\/span><\/span>set<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>up correctly – see\u00a0Blackboard Tests: quality checking your test<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Formal or summative tests:<\/strong> Academics should<\/span><\/span>\u00a0liaise with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>their<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Programme Administration team<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in good time before tests take place\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to clarify\u00a0<\/span><\/span>roles or arrange additional support, for example, to ensure tests are set up correctly or to deploy the test in the Blackboard module.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    There is specific guidance on the settings to use for formal summative assessments:<\/p>\n

    These settings should be used when creating and deploying a Blackboard test and adhered to wherever possible. If you need to deviate from these settings for any reason you should liaise with your Senior Programme Administrator.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    For other uses of Blackboard Tests, for example, formative quizzes, you can choose your own settings but be aware that adding restrictions on how students can take a test can increase requirements for support when the test is taken.<\/p>\n
