{"id":13319,"date":"2022-05-30T16:20:55","date_gmt":"2022-05-30T16:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/?p=13319"},"modified":"2025-07-15T09:54:57","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T09:54:57","slug":"uploading-to-yuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2022\/05\/30\/uploading-to-yuja\/","title":{"rendered":"Uploading to YuJa"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What can you upload to YuJa?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Videos you&#8217;ve made in another program, such as PowerPoint or Camtasia.<\/li>\n<li>Items from previous years which are useful to this year&#8217;s students, e.g. videos originally stored in Microsoft Stream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>See YuJa&#8217;s help article for a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.yuja.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360041319034-Manually-Uploading-Media-Content#previewing-video-files-during-the-upload-process-0-4\">list of supported file types<\/a> which can be uploaded to YuJa (opens in a new window).<\/p>\n<p>If you have a video file in a non-supported format, you can use <strong>Handbrake<\/strong> or <strong>VLC Player<\/strong> (both available via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appsanywhere.reading.ac.uk\/\">Apps Anywhere<\/a>) to <strong>convert files<\/strong> e.g. from MOV to MP4.<br \/>\nFor help see the <a href=\"https:\/\/handbrake.fr\/docs\/en\/1.3.0\/introduction\/quick-start.html\">Handbrake Getting Started guide<\/a>, or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlchelp.com\/convert-video-format\/\">Convert Video File Format using VLC Media Player<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Resources such as Word documents or PDFs should not be uploaded to\u00a0 YuJa &#8211; there is a risk that these files may be auto-deleted if they&#8217;re stored in YuJa.
