A summary of what the role can and can\u2019t do<\/h3>\n

Introduction<\/h2>\n

When a Periodic Review is due the Quality team within CQSD set up a Blackboard Organisation for the review. Both internal and external reviewers will be added to this Organisation. In addition, reviewers will temporarily be enrolled onto individual Blackboard courses with the role of Periodic Reviewer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is a Course Role \u2013 like Instructor, Teaching Assistant, or Marker.<\/p>\n

Permissions associated with the role<\/h2>\n

Course Content<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Can view all course content, including that which is currently unavailable to students.<\/li>\n
  • Not able to create new content or edit existing content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Grade Centre<\/h3>\n

    Has full access to the Blackboard Grade Centre<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Can view and modify all grades \u2013 any type of gradable item (Blackboard and Turnitin \u00a0Assignments, Tests, Blogs and Wikis).<\/li>\n
    • Can leave feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      N.B. It is not possible to grant \u201cread-only\u201d access to the Blackboard Grade Centre \u2013 if a user can access the Grade Centre then they automatically also have editing rights.<\/p>\n

      Turnitin Assignments<\/h3>\n

      Has full access via Control Panel > Course Tools to<\/p>\n

      • edit assignment settings<\/li>\n
