Check for and fix any broken links in the course. Remove any links to YouTube or Google videos, as these will not be accessible in China. Delete any Turnitin assessments included in the course copy: these copies will not work, so should be deleted and new assessments set up as required. Assessment The NUIST Blackboard is not directly linked to the UoR RISIS system. The EMA Integration does not operate at NUIST. Unlike at Reading, where Programme Administrators set up Blackboard and Turnitin submission points, academics will need to do this on the NUIST Blackboard. Most of the same assessment tools are available at NUIST as in Reading e.g. Blackboard assignments Blackboard tests Turnitin assignments (NUIST Academy courses are covered by a separate sub-account of the UoR Turnitin licence). Please note that Blackboard tests and assignments show due dates in China time, whereas Turnitin assignments display in UK time. Caveats and storage limits When copying courses or uploading files, there may be file size limitations. Uploading larger files could take longer and risk timing out due to server capacity and location. It is best to upload only files you need and do so perhaps on a weekly basis. This way the courses will be built up but not be overwhelmed with file sizes.
