What is MS Forms?
Microsoft Forms is a Microsoft 365 application for creating, distributing and managing digital forms, surveys, quizzes and polls. It provides a web-based interface for designing forms, collecting responses and viewing response data.
Responses can be analysed using built-in reporting tools or exported to Excel for further analysis. Forms integrates with other Microsoft 365 applications and can be shared through links, QR codes, Microsoft Teams, or embedded within digital learning materials.
What can I do with MS Forms?
Microsoft Forms can be used to create surveys, questionnaires, quizzes and polls, enabling staff to collect and analyse responses from students and colleagues.
If you are considering live polling during a teaching session, Vevox is the University’s recommended polling platform and provides a wider range of features to support classroom engagement and interaction.
Microsoft Forms can be used for live polling but is particularly useful for structured data collection before, after or between teaching sessions. Responses can be reviewed within Forms or exported to Excel for further analysis.
