I provide advice, consultation, support, resources, and training for the use and development of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) across the University. My role focuses on helping academics integrate TEL effectively into their teaching practice, curriculum design, and delivery while facilitating the sharing of good practice across disciplines.<\/p>\n
With a background in Psychology, I have a strong understanding of people, their motivations, and how they engage with learning. This informs my approach to learning design, student engagement, and the strategic use of technology. I have a deep interest in artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI and prompting, and how these technologies can transform Higher Education. I explore how AI can enhance teaching, assessment, personalised learning, and curriculum design, ensuring that these advancements are implemented ethically and effectively.<\/p>\n
My academic interests include Film, English, and Psychology. I am also passionate about widening participation and curriculum design, ensuring that technology is used inclusively to support diverse learners.<\/p>\n
Before joining the University in 2018, I was a Curriculum Manager for Arts, Media, and Film at a sixth-form college in Southampton. With extensive experience as a teacher, I have developed expertise in pedagogy, student engagement, and innovative teaching strategies. I have always championed the use of technology to enhance the student experience and learning outcomes.<\/p>\n
An integral part of my previous role involved preparing students for applications to Oxford and Cambridge and promoting widening participation in a diverse inner-city college. I am committed to continuing this work throughout my career in Higher Education.<\/p>\n
