They are designed to help you know what to expect, what you need to do and by when.<\/p>\n<p>Each phase has some key steps and outcomes to guide\u00a0 you.\u00a0 Support is available throughout the move to Ultra with regular communications, guides and staff development.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The move to Blackboard Learn Ultra has been timed to align with the introduction of your redesigned programmes and modules as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/cqsd\/closed\/PRP-Learning-Design-Process\">Portfolio Review Pathway project.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You will have access to your <strong>new empty 2024\/25 course shells from mid-Apri<\/strong>l\u00a0 in which to build your module ready for September 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This page will be updated regularly with links to resources and guidance for each stage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>1. Plan (January &#8211; April 2024)<\/h1>\n<h2>Outcomes<\/h2>\n<p>By completing the <strong>Plan<\/strong> phase, you will have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Considered how you will use your Ultra Course in the delivery of your module, as part of your digitally enabled approach.<\/li>\n<li>Used an Ultra Practice Course to familiarise yourself with the features and functionality of an Ultra Course.<\/li>\n<li>Completed the appropriate training to help you build your Ultra Course ready for the start of 2024\/25.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/telblog\/2024\/02\/01\/blackboard-ultra-practice-courses-for-staff\/\">Create an Ultra Practice Course<\/a> to begin investigating what a Course offers you.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/blackboard-learn-ultra-staff-development-support\/\">Select your preferred training option<\/a>s, book and add to your calendar.<\/li>\n<li>Complete or attend your chosen training activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>3. Build (April &#8211; September 2024)<\/h1>\n<h2>Outcomes<\/h2>\n<p>By completing the <strong>Build<\/strong> phase, you will have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Used the course template to structure and build\u00a0 your Ultra Course ready for use in your teaching from September 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Design your course structure using the new course template and add content to your course<\/li>\n<li>Set up your <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/blackboard-learn-ultra-staff-development-support\/ultra-learning-activities\/\">learning activities<\/a> in your Ultra Course.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/blackboard-ultra-assessment-training\/\">assessment options in Ultra<\/a> and design your assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance engagement with your course and consider <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/engaging-students-through-effective-communication-and-analytics\/\">student communications<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure your course and its content are <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/making-your-ultra-content-accessible\/\">digitally accessible.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0If you need help,<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/blackboard-learn-ultra-staff-development-support\/\"> book to attend a TEL-supported course-building retreat<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>4.
