Section 7.3 of the Assessment Handbook<\/a> covers ‘Special coursework arrangements for students with specific learning difficulties’:<\/p>\n

In addition to making recommendations concerning examinations for students with specific learning difficulties, the University\u2019s Specialist Teacher Assessor or Disability Advisors may also recommend that such students should not be penalised for poor spelling, grammar or sentence structure in coursework. The Examinations, Student Records and Graduation Office will provide SDRs with coloured labels detailing the Disability Office\u2019s recommendations, which students should be asked to attach to all pieces of coursework they submit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With the move to online submission, an\u00a0electronic version of this green sticker has been produced.<\/p>\n

The new electronic Green Sticker takes the form of a JPG image file which is personalised for each student through the use of an individually assigned number. Please note that this ‘RA number’, generated by the Disability Office, is NOT the same as the student number in order to preserve anonymity during marking. The RA number is now being included in all recommendations produced by the Disability Office.<\/p>\n

How will the system work\u00a0for students?<\/strong><\/p>\n

These stickers will be sent directly to students by the Exams Office, as part of the standard email confirming University exam arrangements. The email includes a link to a web page with guidance on\u00a0how to insert the sticker into coursework.<\/a><\/p>\n
