My role is to manage the University\u2019s TEL systems. I function as the conduit between pedagogy and technology with overall responsibility for the front-end operational management, development and continuous improvement of our digital learning systems. Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders, I continue developing and supporting operational processes and workflows that underpin use of our digital learning systems. Using a strong appreciation of end-user perspectives and the user experience, I co-ordinate testing of new functionality and features, to evaluate their impact and potential.<\/p>\n

My main background is from the Royal Air Force, where I was in multiple operational and instructional roles, and developed the training of recruits to include innovative approaches to learning, including the use of technology in teaching.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the University of Reading, I was the Core Services manager for the University College of Estate Management in a similar role but using Moodle for delivery of courses.<\/p>\n
