It allows\u00a0for the marking of electronically submitted assignments.\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">It can be used to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mark and provide feedback<\/strong>\u00a0on students\u2019 work online (using the Feedback Studio)<\/li>\n<li>Automatically\u00a0<strong>check\u00a0the originality of students\u2019 work<\/strong>\u00a0(using the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/turnitin\/turnitin-similarity-report\/\">Similarity\u00a0Report<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One Turnitin assignment submission point can be used to perform either or both of these tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Using Turnitin is an efficient and convenient way to handle the submission and marking of formative or\u00a0summative coursework by individual students.<\/p>\n<p>Turnitin provides the following features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Single file submission up to 40MB<\/li>\n<li>Anonymous marking<\/li>\n<li>Inline grading (on-screen view of the submitted assignment with the ability to annotate the paper)<\/li>\n<li>Reusable comments (called QuickMarks)<\/li>\n<li>Offline marking using the iPad mobile app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the Blackboard Help site for staff, you can access <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/ema-help\/#turnitin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">step-by-step guides on different aspects of using Turnitin<\/a>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting up assignments<\/li>\n<li>Marking assignments and giving feedback<\/li>\n<li>Turnitin Rubrics<\/li>\n<li>Turnitin Similarity Report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Turnitin is a web-based e-assessment tool that is\u00a0fully integrated into Blackboard.
