{"id":6328,"date":"2020-07-02T17:14:41","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T17:14:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/?page_id=6328"},"modified":"2020-07-03T09:45:51","modified_gmt":"2020-07-03T09:45:51","slug":"collaborative-group-activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/digital-learning-activities-and-apps\/collaborative-group-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaborative &amp; group activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">During this time of remote teaching and learning,\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">group work and peer learning<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0are more important than ever for enabling students to\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">feel a sense of belonging to the learning communities<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0on their courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">If appropriate, set up\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2019\/03\/08\/blackboard-groups\/\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Groups\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">on your course to allow smaller groups of students to work together.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">When creating Groups, enable tools that will allow your students to interact with each other via their Blackboard course, for example, the Email, File sharing, Collaborate Ultra\u00a0tool and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel-support\/2018\/07\/18\/blackboard-creating-discussion-forums\/\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Discussion Forum.<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/sample-page\/learning-activities\/wikis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikis<\/a> allow students to collaborate to build an online collection of pages, a mini-website if you will.
