Check the Help Guides:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Our comprehensive, easy to access online materials can provide you with many of answers you might need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/bb.reading.ac.uk\/webapps\/portal\/execute\/tabs\/tabAction?tab_tab_group_id=_202_1\" target=\"_blank\">Support for Staff<\/a> tab on Blackboard for step-by-step guides and other support materials,<\/li>\n<li>Articles on the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/\">TEL blog<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>Video Tutorials: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLontYaReEU1tzu1T5gfiX-JQA5nBc3isN\" target=\"_blank\">Blackboard <\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/TurnitinAcademy\" target=\"_blank\">Turnitin<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">2. Get help from a colleague:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ask a colleague on your module\/programme\/School \u2013 they may know the answer and the most effective way to tackle your problem.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">3. Submit your query to the IT Service Desk:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you can\u2019t find an answer to your query, you can contact the IT Service Desk where your query will be resolved or redirected to the appropriate team.<\/p>\n<p>Using the IT Service Desk ensures that queries are handled promptly, fairly and in order.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Please note that e-mails and phone calls to individual TEL team members will be directed to go via the IT Service Desk<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You contact the IT Service Desk by: email <strong>it@reading.ac.uk<\/strong>; phone x<strong>6262<\/strong>; entering your query on the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/internal\/its\/\" target=\"_blank\">Self Service Portal<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #000080\">What help can I get from the Student Support Centres?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>If you are a member of staff and need to be enrolled onto an existing module, your Senior Programme Administrator in your Student Support Centre will be able to assist you.<\/p>\n<p>Your Programme Administrators may also be able to assist with general Blackboard course management queries relating to Programme Administration<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #000080\">What support can the TEL team offer me?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>The TEL team will be running a selection of TEL staff development sessions open to all.<\/p>\n<p>For a discussion on a particular aspect or use of TEL within your module \/ programme, you can book a one-to-one TEL Surgery (30 mins). <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/cqsd\/TandLEvents\/cqsd-televents.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Book a staff development session or a surgery slot<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Bespoke sessions for Schools or Services\u00a0will be provided again once the TEL team have recruited two members of staff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There will be some temporary limitation in some of the support services that the TEL team are able to give in 2016-2017. \u00a0We have also made changes to streamline the way staff access support and advice. \u00a0Details of these arrangements are as follows: Do you need help with Blackboard and Turnitin queries and trouble-shooting? 1.
