This can cause technical errors!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/cqsd\/TechnologyEnhancedLearning\/cqsd-E-assessment.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Follow the e-Submission Protocol<\/strong><\/a> when setting up submission points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Release marks and feedback at the right time!<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Check that the columns for each online assignment in the Grade Centre are hidden from students during submission and marking. This prevents students from seeing the marks and any online feedback you\u2019ve entered until you are ready to release them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.me\/P6kHTL-aU\">How to hide and show marks in Blackboard<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: <strong>Turnitin assignments<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Columns in the Grade Centre will be <strong>automatically un-hidden<\/strong> on the <strong>Post Date<\/strong> where &#8216;Yes&#8217; was selected for &#8216;Reveal grades to students only on Post Date&#8217; when\u00a0setting up the assignment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Blackboard Assignment tool &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Be careful using Anonymous marking &amp; Delegated marking<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are thinking of or need to use either of these settings read the following advice that highlight the <strong>implications<\/strong> and <strong>limitations<\/strong> of each feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Anonymous Marking<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wp.me\/P6kHTL-rp\">Essential advice<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Delegated Marking<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2016\/05\/11\/using-delegated-marking-essential-advice\/\">Essential advice<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Turnitin &#8211; Anonymous marking<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Check how <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bb.reading.ac.uk\/bbcswebdav\/xid-4365359_4\" target=\"_blank\">anonymous marking works in Turnitin<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Maintain your current e-assessment practice<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Schools have been advised to maintain their current e-assessment activity but NOT develop new approaches in this coming academic year 2016-17.
