{"id":2315,"date":"2016-12-16T13:42:36","date_gmt":"2016-12-16T13:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/?p=2315"},"modified":"2016-12-16T13:42:36","modified_gmt":"2016-12-16T13:42:36","slug":"turnitin-timeout_setting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2016\/12\/16\/turnitin-timeout_setting\/","title":{"rendered":"Turnitin enhancement: Timeout setting revised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turnitin updated Feedback Studio on 14th December.<\/p>\n<p>The most important improvement\u00a0appears to be this one:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fixed an issue where instructors were getting timed out of the Feedback Studio if marking student work for over an hour&#8221;.<br \/>\n<a class=\"a0 b1 c0 d0 e0 f10 h11 i11 j4 k2 l1\" href=\"https:\/\/guides.turnitin.com\/01_Manuals_and_Guides\/Administrator_Guides\/Feedback_Studio_Success_Kit\/Feedback_Studio_Release_Notes\">https:\/\/guides.turnitin.com\/01_Manuals_and_Guides\/Administrator_Guides\/Feedback_Studio_Success_Kit\/Feedback_Studio_Release_Notes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We believe that this timeout issue may have accounted for\u00a0issues experienced recently by a few staff at Reading.<\/p>\n<p>As we understand the situation, leaving feedback within the Feedback Studio window was &#8211; incorrectly &#8211; not being counted as activity, with the result that staff could be logged out of Turnitin when they had been marking for 60 minutes. This has now been fixed.<\/p>\n<p>User activity within\u00a0the Feedback Studio window (e.g. key stokes and mouse clicks) will now reset the timeout clock.
