Along with TEL Applications Manager Andy Turner, Sev &amp; Peter will be working closely with\u00a0the TEL Advisors, and with IT, to help and support staff and students using all of the university\u2019s digital learning\u00a0tools &#8211; principally Blackboard and Turnitin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sev:<\/strong> Hi, I\u2019m Sevastiyan (Sev) and I\u2019ve been working at the University for a few months as an IT Support Analyst where I became familiar with the university\u2019s systems. I have a BSc in Computer Science and am currently doing an MSc in Business Informatics part time.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve previously worked at Aberystwyth University\u2019s IT Department supporting their IT systems including Blackboard and Turnitin. I am very passionate about technology and education, so I am very excited to be here.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to working with all of you to make the most out of the technologies we have!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3130\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/09\/Sev-274x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter:<\/strong> I have used virtual learning environments from different viewpoints.\u00a0 My background of an Ancient History degree ironically prepared me for the role, using Blackboard as a student.\u00a0 I have recently supported the Directors of Teaching and Learning within the School of Politics, Economics, and International Relations.\u00a0 This has given me an overview and exposure to the university, as well as specific knowledge of Teaching and Learning processes.\u00a0 I feel Sev and I will complement each other in our background and knowledge base.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/09\/Peter.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3129\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/09\/Peter-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;to our two\u00a0new TEL Support Officers, Sev Raychev and Peter Moll.
