As the festive season approaches, it&#8217;s time to get &#8216;appy with the <strong>12 apps of Christmas<\/strong> &#8211; a fun and quick way to learn about some educational apps that could help enrich teaching and learning and help further engage students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/11\/cropped-12Apps_Full1920x480-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3316\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/11\/cropped-12Apps_Full1920x480-1-300x94.png\" alt=\"12 apps of Christmas logo \" width=\"300\" height=\"94\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple of these free online programmes you can sign up for this year:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong><a style=\"color: #008000\" href=\"https:\/\/12appsofchristmas.ca\/\">The 12 Apps of Christmas by ETUG<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>(a group of Canadian educators interested in teaching, learning &amp; ed tech in post-secondary education)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starts 4 December and runs until 19 December<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ul12apps.wordpress.com\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000\">Limerick University&#8217;s 12 Apps of Christmas<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Started on 20 November and running covering 12 apps on Mondays, Wednesdays &amp; Fridays.<\/li>\n<li>You can still sign up to take part and find about the apps (but this one is already underway).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/11\/Enhancing-Fieldwork.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3302\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/files\/2017\/11\/Enhancing-Fieldwork-298x300.jpg\" alt=\"Enhancing Fieldwork logo\" width=\"168\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Read how staff in the School of Agriculture contributed <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reading.ac.uk\/tel\/2017\/11\/21\/an-appy-christmas-in-agriculture-with-the-12-apps-of-christmas\/\">a fieldwork app to a 12 apps activity at the Dublin Institute of Technology<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>Make a note of this in your diary.
